Winston & Strawn to open Silicon Valley outpost
A Chicago-based international law firm is expanding in California with a soon-to-be-opened outpost in Silicon Valley.
Winston & Strawn is putting a Los Angeles partner, David Enzminger, in charge of the Palo Alto office, which is to open on Sept. 9, the firm announced Tuesday. It will be the 1,000-attorney firm’s 17th office, and ninth office in the United States.
“This new office will be an important anchor in serving our growing number of local valley clients,” said the firm’s managing partner, Thomas Fitzgerald, in a press release. “It establishes a critical presence in this hub of high-tech business and will play a key role in the continued expansion of our intellectual property litigation practice.”
