A 47-year-old woman has been arrested and jailed on a retaliation charge after allegedly sending texts to a lawyer she dated three years ago that threatened a judge who had ruled against her in a support case concerning her ex-husband.

An affidavit filed in the case says that Julia Paz Taylor sent a number of texts to the attorney demanding that Harris County District Judge Bonnie Hellums reverse course and rule in her favor, reports the Newswatch page of the Houston Chronicle.

Among the messages, the affidavit says, was one stating “found a hitman times a tickin let Judge Hellums know that what goes around is fixin to come around and it’s her fault for not making it right.”

The article doesn’t include any comment from Taylor or her counsel. She is jailed in lieu of $250,000 bail.
