Think you've heard it all? Even seasoned practitioners may not be aware of what a British newspaper lists as the world's 25 oddest laws.
For example, a French pig may not legally be named Napoleon (item 22 on the list), reports the London Times. Nor may an unmarried woman parachute in Florida on a Sunday (item 7).
But strangest of all, the newspaper states, "The head of any dead whale found on the British coast is legally the property of the King; the tail, on the other hand, belongs to the Queen--in case she needs the bones for her corset."
The article has prompted a number of comments in the newspaper's Internet edition.
