A Texas man has filed a federal lawsuit claiming he needs twice the time to take the Law School Admission Test because of his attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Matthew Scott Jones of Austin says in the suit that he skipped the LSAT in September 2009 because the Law School Admissions Council refused his request for the accommodation, Texas Lawyer reports.

Jones’ suit says his ADHD impairs his ability to read and concentrate “to the point that his competence level is below that expected in comparison to most people.” He wants the admissions council to give him more time and to refrain from flagging his test results as “not taken under standard conditions.”
