Blogger Carolyn Elefant Is Solo ‘Poster Child’

Blogger Carolyn Elefant has made a name for herself and become “a poster child for solo practice,” Legal Times (sub. req.) writes in a profile.
Elefant, whose solo practice focuses on energy law, advises lawyers about the benefits of solo life and helps solo lawyers network and pass along work. She works nearly full time from her suburban D.C. home, although she maintains a downtown law office
Elefant hosts the MyShingle blog about solo life and has written a book called Solo by Choice: How to Be the Lawyer You Always Wanted to Be.
“My feeling is that if people are working in situations that are making them unhappy, they should be aware that solo practice is a viable option,” she told Legal Times.
