Country music stars Brooks & Dunn will headline this year’s holiday party hosted by Houston lawyer Mark Lanier.

The plaintiffs lawyer invites thousands of people to his annual bash at his 20-acre estate, including judges, politicians and legal journalists, the Wall Street Journal Law Blog reports.

This year’s invitation was accompanied by a snow globe with Santa playing a guitar and included a list of past musical guests. They include The Dixie Chicks, Johnny Cash, Barry Manilow, Crosby Stills & Nash, and Dolly Parton. The ABA Journal wrote about his party in a December 2004 article.

Lanier has more than 1,000 clients who stand to benefit from the recent $4.85 billion Vioxx settlement. He expects to make as much as $30 million in fees from the litigation.
