Cuomo Makes Mark in First 100 Days

New York Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo has assembled an experienced team of lawyers and made industry oversight a priority, the Washington Post says in a story analyzing his first 100 days in office.

Cuomo’s probe of the student loan industry has set the agenda for Congress and industry regulators, the article says. His investigation has persuaded three lenders to change their practices and led to the suspension of financial aid directors at six universities and a top Education Department official.

Many of his senior staffers gave up law firm partnerships or prestigious government posts to join his office. They include prosecutors who worked on cases involving terrorism and organized crime.
