Dad & Daughter Among Law School’s First Grads

After Sydney Jones decided to go to law school, so did her father, Sidney. In fact, the two both wound up in the same class at Charleston Law School in South Carolina, and are to graduate together over the weekend, in the law school's first graduating class.

Although the two commuted to school from Aiken, SC, they didn't see much of each other once they got there, and lived in separate apartments, reports the Aiken Standard. The father attended law school at night, and worked full-time at a Charleston law firm during the day.

It has been 30 years since Sidney Jones graduated from college, but he was not the oldest law student in the class, he notes. That honor goes to 70-year-old Elizabeth Murrow, a retired nurse.
