Details are few and far between concerning the murder last month of Lawrence Paul Higgins, a former Washington, D.C., lawyer known for his love of horses.

But his daughter has appealed for public help in trying to identify those who might have some knowledge of what happened when Higgins was killed at his home in suburban Tampa last month, reports the St. Petersburg Times.

At a news conference this morning outside the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Kimberly Higgins asked anyone who might know something about two vehicles seen in the vicinity where her 61-year-old father's body was found contact authorities.

"One vehicle is described as a champagne-colored dual-wheel pickup truck with an extended motor cab. Witnesses said it was probably a 2000-05 model with four tires on the rear," the newspaper recounts. "The second is an older orange Nissan or Datsun sedan with a loud muffler, a model from the 1980s."
