Death Suit Dismissed in Holloway Case

A Los Angeles judge has dismissed a California wrongful death suit filed over the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
The parents of the Alabama teen, who vanished on May 30, 2005 while on vacation with high school classmates on the Dutch Caribbean island, have no jurisdiction to sue in California, Judge Charles C. Lee ruled Friday, because the case lacks a connection with the state, reports AP. Their lawyer, John Q. Kelly, says they have not decided whether to appeal the ruling.
Meanwhile, a lawyer for the two defendants, brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe, says the dismissal is "what we anticipated," reports AP. Holloway's parents could sue the two in Aruba, but "they don't have a shred of evidence against them," says William Cremer. Holloway, 18, reportedly was last seen getting into a car with the brothers and another man, all three of whom were later arrested and released without charges. She has never been found.
