Dewey & LeBoeuf has announced it will close three offices, but no lawyers will be pushed out the door.

The 50 lawyers who will be affected by the closures may transfer to new offices, Legal Week reports. The offices that are closing are in Jacksonville, Fla.; Austin, Texas; and Hartford, Conn.

The law firm is the product of a recent merger between Dewey Ballantine and LeBoeuf Lamb Green and MacRae.

The Austin office opened in 2002 with lawyers from Brobeck Phleger and Harrison, the Austin Business Journal reports. The Austin and Hartford offices will close in the early months of 2009, while the Jacksonville office will close in December 2008.
