The staff cuts reported earlier this week in Duane Morris’ marketing and business development units aren’t the only job losses at the law firm.

Fifteen staffers in other departments have been laid off in addition to seven staffers cut in marketing and business development, the Legal Intelligencer reports. All but one of the 15 people who lost jobs are in Philadelphia, media relations manager Joshua Peck told the publication.

"The decision reflected the firm's view that it could continue with the same very high level of service administratively, while operating on a slightly leaner basis,” Peck said. “The positions involved were in information services, real estate and facilities, HR and finance."

The marketing and business development cuts were part of a restructuring. While seven staffers lost jobs in those departments, three new senior executives were hired.
