The FBI raided a Pennsylvania lawyer's office today, reportedly looking for records related to allegations that John Karoly defrauded an Allentown charity of $500,000.

Agents are "tearing apart his office looking for the original records," attorney Robert Goldman, who represents the South Whitehall Township attorney, tells the Express-Times.

Meanwhile, Goldman contends the original Urban Wilderness Foundation records have been in his own Doylestown, Pa., law office, for safekeeping. As he stood outside Karoly's office, holding the records he said the FBI was seeking, agents searched inside Karoly's office this morning, the Lehigh Valley newspaper reports.

Karoly and his lawyer have contended that the case is politically motivated, according to the Associated Press and other media reports.
