A fire early yesterday destroyed the Kansas City, Kan., law office of Rosie Quinn and Associates.

The office, which is located at Fifth Street and Troup Avenue, was already filed with smoke when firefighters arrived at about 2 a.m., and bars on the building's windows and doors made it difficult for them to gain entry, reports the Kansas City Star. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to KCTV 5.

The 53-year-old Quinn, whose full name is Rosalyn Marie Quinn, was indicted earlier this month for allegedly failing to pay employment taxes and individual income tax. She could not be reached by the newspaper to discuss the fire.
