As the once-powerful Heller Ehrman moves toward dissolution today, all eyes will be on where the firm's talented lawyers land and whether clients follow.

Los Angeles office managing partner Nancy Cohen, an important figure in the firm's insurance recovery practice, is believed to be headed to Proskauer Rose, the Recorder reports via Legal Week.

Speculation is that the 40-lawyer practice group intends to follow Cohen.

Other firms looking to pick up laterals include Cooley Godward Kronish, Morrison & Foerster, Fenwick & West, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Morgan Lewis & Bockius. Cooley is reportedly a top choice for the venture law group.

The two firms that considered merging with Heller—Baker & McKenzie and Winston & Strawn—may also bring on large groups of Heller refugees.
