Last week, a Hughes Hubbard and Reed partner was named as trustee in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy. This week, the New York City-based law firm has made a timely acquisition of a six-lawyer bankruptcy boutique.

Yesterday, the Hughes firm announced it is acquiring Luskin Stern & Eisler, which specializes in bankruptcy, creditors' rights, and finance, reports Am Law Daily. The move adds eight more bankruptcy attorneys to the firm's current 12-attorney practice group.

The Luskin firm is comprised of partners Nathan Eisler, Michael Luskin and Richard Stern; counsel Patrick Gartland; and four associates.

More details are provided in a law firm press release.
