Ginsburg and Scalia Approach ‘Serial Voter’ Status—in Elections

Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia share more in common than just a friendship: They are among the court’s members who vote most often, public records indicate.
Ginsburg, a registered Democrat in Washington D.C., regularly votes in both primary and general elections, as does Scalia, who participates in Virginia’s Republican primaries, the Washington Post reports. The two “come close to the ‘serial voter’ status prized by political operatives,” the story says.
Justice Stephen G. Breyer cast an absentee ballot there in the Massachusetts Democratic primary last week, the story says, and regularly votes in state and federal elections there.
Many of the other justices vote only in general elections. Records for Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. are closed because he makes use of Maryland’s “confidential voter” exception to the public records law.
