Remember the fictional scene in The Godfather involving a severed horse's head?

A similarly aggressive threat apparently was intended by the person responsible for leaving a severed goat's head for a real-life Wisconsin attorney, reports an ABC-affiliated local television station. The goat's mouth held a threatening note, the contents of which police won't disclose. However, it appears to have been targeted at Robin Shellow, a prominent Milwaukee area defense attorney.

Says Shellow: "I assume the individual was trying to get my attention." She says she and police are taking the matter very seriously.

"Milwaukee police have checked area meatpacking plants but found none that processed goats," the station reports on its Web site. "So far, police have been unable to trace where it came from."
