Gunderson Moves to Wrong Side of Road, Shaves 20% Off Rent

A major law firm in Silicon Valley apparently is looking to save money on rent by moving to a less fashionable location a short distance away from its current offices.
By moving across Highway 101 from Menlo Park to Redwood City, Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian will cut its per-square-foot rental cost from $3 to $2.50, reports the Am Law Daily.
The new location can't be all that downscale: corporate neighbors will include the DreamWorks movie studio associated with producer-director Steven Spielberg.
