Indicted Mayer Brown Partner Wants Polygraph Admitted

The lawyers seeking to exonerate Joseph P. Collins, a Mayer Brown partner indicted for his role in an alleged financial fraud at failed commodities brokerage Refco, want results of a polygraph test they had Collins take admitted as evidence in the lawyer's upcoming trial.
The Collins legal team hired former FBI agent Barry Colvert to administer the test, which, the National Law Journal reports, Collins passed "with flying colors."
Prosecutors, however, maintain the results are unreliable in part because the government wasn't told about the test in advance and didn't participate.
Collins, who was indicted in the Southern District of New York last December, has said he would be willing to participate in another test arranged by prosecutors, the NLJ reports.

Someone ought to tell this schmo that polygraphs are inadmissible in a court of law. I guess this law firm didn’t hire this guy for his knowledge of evidence!
