When intellectual property attorney Anthony McNamer made his break from BigLaw, he didn't simply hang out his own shingle.

In addition to forming McNamer and Company, the Portland, Ore., practitioner also produced a rap album that offers a humorous take on the genre's traditional tough-guy image, reports Above the Law.

The new Exquisite Rap Duo album made its debut yesterday. One song that struck a chord with the law blog focuses on the difficulty of commanding respect while riding a BMX bike.

"I'm probably the biggest music lawyer in Portland... but that's not saying much," McNamer tells ATL. A 1995 graduate of Stanford Law School, he worked for Bingham McCutchen and Davis Wright Tremaine before forming his own firm five years ago.
