Paralegals who are litigation support/technology managers earn the most, with a median base compensation of $115,000, a new survey finds.

The survey by Altman Weil Publications Group also found that paralegal pay hikes were above the cost of inflation last year, Legal Blog Watch reports. Salaries increased an average of 4.9 percent for exempt paralegals at law firms and by 3.8 percent for those in corporate law departments, according to a summary.

The average hourly billing rate for paralegals was more than $150.
