Jones Day Keeps Snapping Up Lateral Partners in California

By Debra Cassens Weiss

Jones Day has hired three new partners in California, part of a lateral partner “shopping binge,” the National Law Journal (sub. req.) reports.

The story says the law firm has hired 22 partners since the beginning of 2007, a rate of more than one a month. But a Jones Day press release puts the count at 23 lateral partner hires, all made in California.

The new partners are intellectual property specialists Arthur Beeman and Pamela Fulmer, who are joining the firm from DLA Piper, and mergers and acquisitions lawyer Jonn Beeson, moving from Latham & Watkins. Beeman and Fulmer will work in San Francisco, and Beeson in Irvine.
