Justice Thomas Would Rather Be in His Motor Home

When you are out on the road, you might want to check out those carefree people who are lumbering down the highway in their motor homes—the driver you are passing could be Justice Clarence Thomas.

The justice told a California audience Monday evening that he’s honored to be on the U.S. Supreme Court, but he doesn’t really like the job, the Orange County Register reports. Thomas instead noted his true passions—sports and driving his motor home—during a question-and-answer session after his speech.

"There's not much that entices about the job," Thomas said. "There's no money in it, no privacy, no big houses, and from an ego standpoint, it does nothing for me. … I wouldn’t say I like it."

There’s no word on the size of Thomas’ motor home.

A hat tip to the Wall Street Journal Law Blog, which posted the story.
