Law Firms Try YouTube: ‘Hostage Videos’

Law firms have discovered YouTube, and reportedly see the social networking site as a potential summer associate recruiting tool.

Their goal: to appear young and hip, in order to appeal to those who are. The reality for a number of firms: they're not quite there yet, reports the International Herald Tribune.

"The videos are still kind of in the early days," says Brian Dalton, a senior law editor at Vault Reports who ranks law firms. "A lot of them come off seeming like hostage videos."
