Law Students Tell of Fattening Firm ‘Care Packages’

Several law firms send their summer associates care packages around finals time that include items laden with sugar and caffeine.

The packages contain goodies such as Godiva chocolates, gourmet brownies, cookies, Red Bull and Starbucks cards, law students told the blog Above the Law.

Not everyone shared in the largesse. One student commenter complained of never receiving “any exam swag” from a big Los Angeles firm. “I thought it was tacky,” sniffed the writer.
