Lawyer Refiles Suit Against DontDateHimGirl.com

A Pittsburgh lawyer has refiled his defamation lawsuit against DontDateHimGirl.com in Miami federal court.

Todd Hollis is acting as his own lawyer in the suit filed last week, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Hollis alleges the website defamed him with posts that falsely claimed he has multiple girlfriends, is gay or bisexual, and has herpes.

A Pittsburgh judge dismissed Hollis’ suit earlier this year because the court had no jurisdiction over the Florida-based website.

The site, operated by Tasha Cunningham, allows anonymous posters to identify men who have cheated on a spouse or a girlfriend. Cunningham claims she is protected from liability by the Communication Decency Act, which protects sites that simply provide a conduit for others to post items.
