A Brooklyn defense attorney takes justice to the streets in a new television reality show that eliminates the courtroom from the judicial process.

"It's Judge Mazz in 'the hood,' " attorney Michael Mazzariello, 50, tells the New York Daily News. "We're in your house. We're in your yard. We're in your place of business."

The idea for the show came from CNN's Nancy Grace, after the former prosecutor appeared on her show as an expert commentator.

Street Court, which premiered on Sept. 21, is broadcast in New York at 1 p.m. on weekdays on WPIX-TV.
