After casting the swing vote in an arbitration that upped the ante on New York City transit worker pay by 11.3 percent over three years, a Weil Gotshal & Manges lawyer has added insult to injury as far as Metropolitan Transportation Authority board members are concerned.

John Zuccotti charged the MTA $900 an hour for his work on the arbitration panel, helping to bring the law firm's total bill, including work done by others at Weil Gotshal, to $400,000, reports the New York Daily News.

"How did this happen?" one angry board member asks the newspaper, requesting anonymity. "I don't even know who decided to do this."

The $115,000 attributable to Zuccotti's work will be donated to charity—the widows and orphans fund of MTA and Transit Workers Union Local 100.
