The conservative Christian legal group Liberty Counsel is urging Christians to avoid shopping at “naughty” companies that avoid use of the word “Christmas.”

The plea is part of Liberty Counsel’s sixth annual "Friend or Foe Christmas Campaign," according to the Christian Post Reporter. The legal group has released a list (PDF) of “naughty” and “nice” retailers to guide those who would like to participate in the boycott.

Naughty companies are those that substitute the word “holiday” for Christmas. Stores on the naughty list include Office Depot, CVS Pharmacy and the Gap.

“Over the past few years the 'Friend or Foe Christmas Campaign' has successfully put the 'grinches' on the run," said Liberty Counsel founder Mathew Staver, dean of Liberty University law school.
