Love Stuff Loses Challenge to Sex-Toy Ban in Alabama Supreme Court

The Alabama Supreme Court has ruled against a store called Love Stuff in a suit challenging the state’s ban on sex toys.
The 7-2 decision held that people have a right to use sex toys in private, but the legislature may ban public distribution of the devices, the Birmingham News reports.
Writing at the Volokh Conspiracy, UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh says federal appeals courts have split on the constitutional issue and there is “a decent chance” the U.S. Supreme Court will hear the case.
Vokokh's post includes his prediction of last year that the court will uphold the sex-toy ban, and the vote will be 6-3.
