A booming market for commercial real estate in Boston in recent years means that law firms specializing in this practice area are booming, too.
The Boston office of DLA Piper, for instance, started up at the beginning of 2003 with 33 mostly real estate lawyers from the now-defunct Hill & Barlow. The office has since grown to some 60 attorneys, most of them with a real estate specialization, reports New York Lawyer (reg. req.), reprinting a National Law Journal article.
"For a firm that does real estate, it's been a very, very healthy last several years," says Douglas Husid. He is co-managing director of Goulston & Storrs.
