Manager of Prostitution Ring Linked to Spitzer Pleads Guilty

A manager of a high-priced prostitution ring allegedly patronized by former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has pleaded guilty in federal court in Manhattan and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors under a plea deal.
Cecil Suwal, 23, pleaded guilty today to conspiracy, money laundering and federal prostitution charges concerning her claimed role in running the Emperors Club V.I.P. escort service, says the Associated Press. The call girl ring reportedly charged clients up to $5,500 per hour.
"Her plea is expected to include an agreement to cooperate with federal prosecutors in Manhattan," reports Newsday, citing an unnamed source, in an article written before the plea was finalized.
"Spitzer has not been charged in the case, but he apologized and resigned on March 12, shortly after the case became public," AP writes.
