Meet Spitzer’s Lead Lawyer, Michele Hirshman of Paul Weiss

Updated: A former top aide to embattled New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, back in the day when he was state attorney general, now reportedly has a new job as Spitzer's legal counsel.
Litigation partner Michele Hirshman of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison got a call from her old boss soon after federal prosecutors linked him, as "Client 9," to a prostitution ring, according to the Wall Street Journal Law Blog. A graduate of Yale Law School, she works in the firm's New York office.
"Hirshman will be helped by Paul Weiss partner Mark Pomerantz, a star litigator whose clients have included Apple chairman and CEO Steven Jobs and former ImClone chairman Sam Waksal," the WSJ blog adds.
Spitzer has not been charged with any crime, and it is not clear that he will be.
A subsequent ABAJournal.com post discusses Boyd Johnson III, the prosecutor in the prostitution case that led to the New York governor's resignation from office, after investigators learned he had hired the services of a high-priced call girl.
