Mistrial as Phil Spector Jury Deadlocks

Updated: A mistrial has been declared in the second-degree murder trial of Phil Spector, after the judge polled the jury, who all agreed they were deadlocked.
The foreman said the panel was split 10-2, in a live broadcast of the trial. But, at the judge's request, he did not say whether the jury was leaning toward the prosecution or the defense. The jury has been deliberating, off and on, for about two weeks.
The Los Angeles Times briefly discusses the mistrial, and provides a link to a live video feed of coverage from the courtroom at the top of the newspaper's Web site.
The famed music producer was accused of having killed Lana Clarkson, 40, at his Los Angeles-area home on Feb. 3, 2003. The defense contended she shot herself either accidentally or in a suicide attempt.
