A Nebraska lawmaker has failed in his attempt to hold God accountable for worldwide natural disasters and alleged terroristic threats made in his name.

Because God couldn't be served with the lawsuit, it was dismissed yesterday by Douglas County District Court Judge Marlon Polk, reports the Associated Press.

The plaintiff, State Sen. Ernie Chambers, graduated from law school but never took the bar exam. Although he hasn't yet decided whether to appeal, he thinks there may be a basis to do so: "Since God knows everything, God has notice of this lawsuit," he says.
