Nerdy 1L Compared to Cool B-School Student in YouTube Videos

Reports that law jobs are losing their social prestige are reinforced by a series of new videos on YouTube that compare a nerdy-looking “law school guy” with a cool, fun-loving “B-school guy.”

Law school guy just can’t seem to win in the videos, a parody of the ads for Apple computers.

The law student quotes Latin while the business school student quotes pig Latin to tell law school guy what he can do with himself. The law student catches a football but is tackled by his business school counterpart.

The disadvantage continues in the job market, when law school guy gets a job in a general counsel’s office for mergers and acquisitions, and B-school guy gets a job heading the M&A department—and supervising the GC's office.

The videos conclude with a sign for Columbia Business School. There’s no word on whether law-school guy uses a PC.

A hat tip to TaxProf Blog, which posted the video.

Sounds like the work of a bunch of jealous B-school students who didn’t get into law school or couldn’t cut it in law school. Law students rock!
