An apparently bogus blueblood who made international headlines this summer after he allegedly kidnapped his 7-year-old daughter is putting a high-profile criminal defense attorney in charge of a variety of legal proceedings he is now facing.

Jeffrey Denner of Denner Pellegrino will now represent "Clark Rockefeller," who is believed to be Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, a German citizen who came to this country as a student years ago and never left, according to the Boston Herald.

"Founder and partner Jeffrey Denner confirmed his team will represent Rockefeller-Gerhartsreiter--on the kidnapping case, his post-divorce fallout with ex-wife Sandra Boss and his involvement with police in San Marino, Calif., where he remains a person of interest in the 1985 disappearance of his newlywed landlords," the newspaper reports.

Boss is reportedly seeking to recover $80,000 from her ex, representing money she spent after their daughter, Reigh, was kidnapped. The 7-year-old was found unharmed and is now in her mother's custody.
