A possible plan to establish a new public law school in Binghamton, N.Y., is being discussed by two existing universities there. If established, it would be the third public law school in the state.
Under preliminary plans being discussed, the law school apparently would be a joint venture of Binghamton University and the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton, according to a New York Lawyer (reg. req.) reprint of a National Law Journal article.
The two existing public law schools in the state can be found at the City University of New York's School of Law at Queens College and the University of Buffalo, which also is part of the SUNY system.

Small correction - as an alum of Binghamton, SUNY Binghamton and Binghamton University are the same school. It dropped the SUNY moniker in 1993 or 1994 to sound more prestigious and play on its reputation as the Public Ivy.
