Nixon Peabody Proclaims Victory in Paris Partner-Poaching Case

A New York judge has sided with Nixon Peabody in a lawsuit brought by a European law firm over the planned defection of a dozen or so non-equity partners in its Paris office.
All three claims made by Taylor Wessing France were dismissed, the Nixon firm reports in a press release.
“From the start, we were convinced these claims should have never been filed,” says managing partner Richard Langan Jr. in the written statement.
"A team of lawyers from Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler in New York and The Wolford Law Firm in Rochester, NY worked on the case for Nixon Peabody," reports a Lawyer article about today's decision by Justice Kenneth Fisher of the New York State Supreme Court.
Name partner Marc Dreier of the Dreier firm represented Taylor Wessing. His client hasn't yet decided whether to appeal, he tells the legal publication.
