A resurgence of interest in building new nuclear power plants is fueling significant practice growth at Morgan Lewis & Bockius.

The Philadelphia-based international law firm has the nation's largest nuclear reactor practice, with 32 lawyers working on, among other matters, a five-year contract for nearly $50 million to help the Department of Energy get a nuclear waste disposal site constructed at Yucca Mountain in Nevada, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.

"The Nuclear Regulatory Commission says it expects to receive applications for 34 new reactors through 2010, and Morgan lawyers are representing some two-thirds of the utility companies involved in those projects," the newspaper writes.
