Last week's decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to ban so-called partial birth abortion has sparked contentious discussion about the religious views of the nine justices who rendered the 5-4 ruling. A majority reportedly are Catholic

In an article today detailing the controversy, ABC characterizes the issue as a "backlash" against Catholic judges. But it isn't just talk show hosts who view it as as problem. Among those who quickly pointed to the question as a legitimate issue is former University of Chicago Law School Dean Geoffrey Stone.

For details on what he said, see this earlier Daily News post.
