Florida plaintiffs attorney Willie Gary has lost an appeal that sought to cut the $28,000 in monthly child support payments he must make to support his twins.

The Georgia Court of Appeals vacated a judge’s decision to reduce the amount to $5,000 a month, according to the Fulton County Daily Report. The appeals court said the lawyer needed to show a change in circumstances to get a reduction. The case now goes back to the trial court.

Atlanta lawyer Randall Kessler, who represents the twins’ mother, said the $28,000 monthly payment is justified because of Gary’s high income. He said it was the equivalent of someone who earned $100,000 a year paying $280 a month in support.
