QB Lawyer Has Sports Star Roster

The lawyer for Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has represented several sports stars, including Allen Iverson of the Denver Nuggets.
Lawrence Woodward Jr. is Vick’s longtime lawyer, according to the Fulton County Daily Report. Woodward appeared with Vick and his agent when the football player signed a $130 million contract and represented him in a Nike deal to promote an athletic shoe.
Vick was indicted yesterday on federal charges he participated in an illegal dog fighting business. (See this ABAJournal.com post for details.)
Woodward handles criminal and personal injury matters as well as entertainment and sports law. He is a partner at the Virginia Beach, Va., firm of Shuttleworth, Ruloff, Swain, Haddad & Morecock.
Other high-profile clients include New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Koren Robinson, and Oakland Raider running back LaMont Jordan.
