When Melissa Clemons was diagnosed with a rare form of brain tumor, her co-workers on the staff of Ratner Prestia rallied to her support.

"Among the things the office staff has done to help Clemons and her family is organize a dress-down day on Fridays where staff members can wear jeans for a $5 donation, which will go toward Clemons' medical and living expenses," reports the Pottstown Mercury.

Colleagues of Clemons at the intellectual property firm, which has offices in Pennsylvania and Delaware, have also donated their vacation time so that she can take time off for treatment, the newspaper notes.

"We're an intellectual property law firm. It's a very specialized area of law and Melissa mastered this practice area," says office manager Lynn Denitz, who has worked with Clemons for more than a decade. "We (temporarily) lost a big piece of our team and it's a very difficult practice area to work in and everyone had to really rally together."
