Supreme Court Litigator a ‘Formidable’ Poker Player

Supreme Court litigator Tom Goldstein is racking up some impressive wins, and they are not just in legal cases.
Goldstein is a “formidable” poker player who won more than $2,200 in a charity poker tournament on Tuesday, the Washington Post reports. Goldstein donated the money back to the "Dress for Success" program that provides professional clothes to low-income women seeking jobs.
Goldstein also managed to win a seat at the 2008 World Series in Las Vegas by beating 130 players. He lost his spot after just two days, but managed to win $100,000 in an 18-hour game at the Bellagio, the story says.
Goldstein told the Post he has been playing Texas Hold 'em for five years. "I was one of those people who just got caught up watching poker on ESPN," he said.
