Thelen has hired a bankruptcy expert with experience in law firm dissolutions to advise the law firm as it winds down its affairs.

The firm hired Peter Gilhuly, a Latham & Watkins bankruptcy partner who advised Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison on its dissolution, the Recorder reports. He will be working with the three members of Thelen’s dissolution committee.

The Recorder story identifies the members as David Graybeal, head of Thelen’s compensation committee; Douglas Davidson, managing partner of the firm’s New York office; and Thomas Hill, managing partner of operations.

Thelen’s leaders recommended dissolution in a meeting on Tuesday and are seeking a partnership vote to confirm the decision. Davidson told the National Law Journal that the committee will manage client matters or transfer them to new firms, and will help staff and lawyers relocate to new firms.
