A new report says revenue for the top 100 British law firms grew by 6.3 percent in the quarter ending July 31, a better showing than U.S. law firms made in a recent study.

The top 10 U.K. firms fared even better, with an increase in revenue of 11.1 percent, the American Lawyer reports. The study by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu found that U.K. law firms were helped by practices in the Middle East, Asia and Russia.

The top 175 firms in the United States had revenue growth of only 4.8 percent, according to a different report by Citi Private Bank.

Despite the growth in U.K. law firm revenues, it still was smaller than the last quarter, when the top 100 U.K. firms saw a revenue increase of 12 percent.
