A Tulsa, Okla., attorney has pleaded no contest in the manslaughter death of his law partner, and a five-year sentence is being recommended by the prosecution.

Kenneth Morgan, 34, was charged with first-degree manslaughter and misdemeanor driving under the influence after his partner, Andre Carolina, who also was 34, died in an auto accident, reports the Tulsa World. Carolina was a passenger in Morgan's Nissan 350Z, which was reportedly racing another vehicle before the crash. The other driver, who allegedly caused the crash by swerving into Morgan's lane, was charged with misdemeanor negligent homicide.

Sentencing is scheduled Aug. 11.
