Who’s the Victim? Spurned Wife or Hubby Trashed on YouTube?

Did Tricia Walsh Smith have a right to say what she thought about her soon-to-be-ex-husband?

That is the question a New York court must decide, in a divorce trial between the 49-year-old British actress and her husband, Philip Smith, 74, a publicity-shy theater owner, reports Reuters.

Tricia Smith didn't hold back, accusing her husband, in YouTube videos she says were viewed some 4 million times, of conspiring with his daughters to evict her from their luxurious Manhattan apartment and hoarding an impotence drug although, she says, they never had sex. She also admittedly sent mass e-mails to "everybody in the theater world," at least one of which provided a link to a YouTube video, Reuters reports.

Counsel for Philip Smith contends the videos constitute spousal abuse, apparently seeking to reduce the amount that his wife of 13 years will be awarded in a divorce settlement.

Says the spurned wife: "We don't live in the Middle East. I don't have to walk three steps behind my husband. I'm entitled to get angry and have an opinion."

I think she’s nuts!  Granted she needed to rant but that’s what you’re girlfriends are for not YouTube.  I kind of feel sorry for the guy (yes, I’m a woman) and there is no way I would have done that unless my goal was to trash his reputation and kill his career; but I’m not dumb either because if HE doesn’t have any bread and butter I’M not going to have any bread and butter.

    She’s sunk her own tank…idiot.

But that’s just my humble opinion.
